Tonge Parish Council naively thought we’d be putting our feet up, having the odd glass of wine while we lazed around on our sun loungers…. oh how wrong we were!
We’d only just celebrated keeping Heron Fields safely within Tonge Parish, when we were hit with more planning applications. You may have noticed (or not) that Swale Borough Council have been inundated with planning applications during these ‘quiet’ months. Most of them would have led to more traffic seeping out onto Lomas Road, Tonge Mill and Lower Road… so we have replied!
Beverley has been working hard on the Highways Improvement Plan, which focuses on the roads around Tonge Mill and the surrounding access to the A2 and the Lower Road. There will be a consultation shortly.
